Details of the Lecture
In this session, Dr. ZHAO Yang will give a brief introduction to deep learning and large language models. First, he will briefly review the development of deep learning, with a focus on the Transformer architecture. He will then cover the evolution of large models and their key technologies, such as supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning.
Speaker Profile
Dr. ZHAO Yang is an associate professor at CASIA. His main research focuses on natural language processing, machine translation and large language models. He has published more than 60 papers in top-tier journals and conferences. His research and teaching achievements have been recognized with the Second Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award and the Second Prize of Beijing Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award. Currently, he serves as an Associate Editor of ACM TALLIP and an Area Chair of ACL ARR.
