The session of ScienceOne, produced by the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, is organized to promote the co-building of an open, shared, and platform-driven AI for Science ecosystem with global partners.

In this session, Dr. ZHAO Yang will give a brief introduction to deep learning and large language models. First, he will briefly review the development of deep learning, with a focus on the Transformer architecture. He will then cover the evolution of large models and their key technologies, such as supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning.
